The Flight Attendant Wellness App is a resource designed to support active flight attendants in managing occupational health concerns, such as insomnia, trauma aftermath, and stress related to their duties. The app offers interactive features including mindfulness exercises, educational content on coping strategies for trauma and stress, relaxation techniques, screening tools for sleep disturbances and substance use, tips for improving sleep quality, and a blood alcohol content calculator. Importantly, the app emphasizes user privacy by ensuring that no personal information entered is stored or transmitted.

Development of the app was informed by expertise from the Flight Attendant Drug and Alcohol Program (FADAP), ensuring relevance and accuracy. The underlying platform and non-occupational content are based on established scientific principles, primarily adapted from the Personal Health Intervention Toolkit originally created for the Department of Defense to assist service members returning from deployment. Notably, the app includes flight attendant-specific modules such as a tailored substance abuse screening tool that covers prescription drug misuse within the context of their unique occupational environment.
